We are now at a significant milestone in time for introspection, as 10 years has now passed from when the U.S. National Broadband Plan (NBP) was published. This panel will provide the TPRC community the opportunity to look back and consider what the impact of the NBP has been on the development and deployment of broadband infrastructure in the U.S., broadband adoption, and efforts to maximize the use of broadband in critical sectors, as well as to look forward and consider whether an update to the Plan is now needed given changed circumstances. This topic is highly relevant to the TPRC community as broadband infrastructure availability and capability serves as a foundational element for most Information Policy research topics.
